iRIDESNOWAPP

iRide is a groundbreaking app for Android and iOS that uses technology to enhance your skiing and snowboarding experience. It features a sophisticated rating system that ranks users worldwide, nationally, locally, or among friends. By completing structured, verified progression lists, you can improve your skills and connect with other riders around the globe to build communities.

iRide includes a tracking system to monitor your movements, distance, altitude, and speed on the slopes. It also offers a comprehensive database of 1,956 winter sports areas with weather and data.

Building on the success of the original iRide, we are working with Deepblue to develop a major update. iRide Vs2.0, scheduled for release in winter 2024. This new version will include a range of exciting features that will further cement iRide’s reputation as the leading ski and snowboard app.

Building the concept

We’re already working on iRide 2.0, which will include several improvements and new features to make the app even more powerful and useful. With advancements in technology and faster mobile connections, there’s a great opportunity for the app to grow.

We plan to release the beta version of iRide 2.0 in 2025, with a full launch in the winter season of 2025/26. We’ll also be adding features that weren’t included in the first version, such as the iRide tag system, as well as creating a new branding website and launching a comprehensive SEO, marketing, and social media campaign.

The iRide app was initially released for Android and iOS, followed by a version for Fire. Development took about a year, with ongoing updates continuing after the initial release.

With the considerable advances in mobile tech over the last few years, iRide Vs2.0 will be even more intuitive and capable. We’re excited to share it with you.

LOGO DESIGN

The iRide logo was designed to be bold and eye-catching, appealing to the primarily younger audience of skiers and snowboarders. The shortened “iR” format was used for the app launch icon.

A crucial element of iRide branding was to choose a color scheme and style that would be instantly recognizable, resonate with users, and be associated with the winter sports community. The iR logo would be used consistently across all aspects of the app’s marketing, from the website to social media promotions and teaser videos.

iRIDE Vs1.2 EXPLAINED

We created a brief promotional video to showcase the new features and redesigned home screen in iRide Version 1.2. This concise video provided a good overview for potential users who wanted to learn more about the benefits of installing the latest version of the app.

iRIDETAG EXPLAINED

We wanted to make it simple for riders to connect through iRide, so we created the iRideTag. Like a QR code, this visual alphabet can be scanned by the app to view a user’s profile. Each tag is completely unique, making it easier than ever to meet new friends by scanning stickers, t-shirts, or other items.

iRIDE Vs1.2 PROMO

In iRide Version 1.12, we added new features and redesigned the user interface to enhance the app experience. This impactful short promo video was shared on social media and the app website to promote the launch of Version 1.12. It was also used in app stores to entice downloads and installations.

VS1.2 EXPLAINED

In addition to promoting iRide, we needed to educate users about the benefits of using the app. This brief explanatory video highlighted the key features of iRide to encourage users to download and install the app.

The video was widely shared on social media and served as a helpful introductory guide on the main iRide website.

VS1.0 EXPLAINED

This brief explanatory video was used to introduce iRide Version 1.0 and highlight its features to users. We shared the video on all our usual social media platforms and featured it on the main iRide website. The video was also used to promote the app in the app stores.

VS1.0 PROMO

iRide was always intended to be an evolving project, but with the launch of the first version, we needed to highlight its key features. As development continued, this video helped introduce the app’s main features to potential users. In the following months, we would add more pages and functions to the app.

PRE-LAUNCH PROMO

Leading up to the official app launch, we had already generated significant interest on social media, especially Facebook. With excitement building, we wanted to create a video announcing a specific release date to keep followers engaged and eager to try the app. This short teaser was shared on all our social pages and the main iRide website.
